Tonight I finished watching The Odd Couple movie from 1968. I’ve never really watched the tv series, but as everyone knows I do enjoy my retro TV so I may have to set the DVR since it airs regularly on Antenna TV.
I know that this film may not quite fit the “requirements” for Throwback Reviews Podcast since it is a film from the 60′s but I may have to make an exception down the road.
If your a fan of the Odd couple, what do you like better, the film or TV series ?
I noticed an odd sound today while on the computer in my room that sounded like “something” in the attic. I can hear it trying to scratch out or something. We have had birds up there before but my guess is that we have a squirrel but I’m not sure and when I peeked up with a flashlight I couldn’t see anything. I am hoping to avoid the “great outdoors bat” scene so I’m gearing up for the battle. I just don’t like surprises.
Today it finally happened. I was at work and just like I did 100 times before I reached into my pocket with my work gloves on and as I pulled my phone out of my pocket it happened. It seemed like a slow motion eternity as my beautiful girl Nexi went soaring through the air.She landed with two bounces to follow. I leaped (reached) for her but I just couldn’t save her. As I looked at her lying there face down on the concrete floor I wondered if she would ever be the same. Would she suffer internal damage or just a few surface scratches. My other thought was would Nexi ever forgive me let alone even trust me to hold her again.
It was time though, I had to pick her up and turn her over to see what we would be up against together. As I turned her over I saw that her beautiful shiny face, glass, had been cracked . I felt my throat swell as I asked her if she was OK. Too my surprise as I pressed her power button she looked at me with her bright eyes, screen.
Nexi has not suffered any internal damage that I can tell at this point. She still sings to me and she can still perform all of her tasks just as before. I am currently searching for some cosmetic materials to bring her back to her original beauty in the days to come.
I am truly sorry Nexi…
The first episode of Throwback Reviews is up. It took me awhile to get everything edited and setup. This is the first ep and I already learned a lot so give the cast a few episodes to really fall into line. That being said I will never take Steve Cherubino or DoorToDoorGeek for granted anymore.
